Authenticity
At The Brands Archive, authenticity is at the core of everything we do. We work exclusively with recognized and experienced professionals in the industry. This forms the foundation of our quality assurance and gives us confidence in our authentication process. We do not sell counterfeit goods under any circumstances.
All bags undergo a thorough inspection before sale. We check:
- Stitching and seams
- Hardware and zippers
- Interior markings and serial numbers
- Surface and materials
- Overall construction against known references for the brand
If you believe an item is not authentic, please contact us at contact.thebrandsarchive@gmail.com with photos and documentation to support your claim. If the item is confirmed to be non-authentic, we will provide a full refund including return shipping.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT VINTAGE AND PRE-OWNED ITEMS
All items from The Brands Archive are sold as vintage or pre-owned and require careful handling. By purchasing, you confirm that you have read the product description and viewed all product images.
To keep your bag in the best possible condition, we recommend the following:
- Always store in a dust bag when not in use
- Avoid moisture, rain and wet surfaces
- Avoid direct sunlight and high heat (e.g. the back seat of a hot car)
- Keep away from hand sanitizer, perfume and makeup
- Do not clean with detergents, chemicals or a wet cloth
- Do not overfill, as this can permanently deform the bag and cause wear to seams and materials, as well as loosen handles and attachment points
Returns
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery.
How to return:
- Send an email to contact.thebrandsarchive@gmail.com within 14 days receiving your order.
- Include your order number and state that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal
- We will send you a return label and instructions as quickly as possible
- Do not send the item back before you have received written approval and a return label from us
- The item must be sent back within 14 days of notifying us
Return shipping: We will provide a return label. A shipping fee of NOK 80 will be deducted from the refund amount.
Exception: Return shipping is covered by us if the item was sent incorrectly, is not authentic, or has a defect for which we are responsible.
Requirements for an approved return:
- The item is returned within the deadline
- The item is in the same condition as when received
- Everything that came with the item at delivery must be returned, including but not limited to dust bag, receipt, accompanying accessories and any original packaging
- The item is sent using the return label we provided
We reserve the right to deduct for depreciation if the item is returned in a worse condition than it was delivered, or if the return is incomplete.
Complaints
Your purchase is covered by the Norwegian Consumer Purchase Act. You have the right to make a complaint within 2 years if the item has a defect that existed at the time of purchase. The right to complain applies to defects that were present at the time of delivery. We recommend that complaints are submitted as soon as possible after the defect is discovered. Complaints made within 2 months will always be considered timely. The right to complain does not apply to wear and tear, misuse or damage that occurs after delivery.
The following are NOT considered defects and will not be accepted:
- Damage described in the product description or visible in the product images at the time of purchase
- Damage resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, moisture, heat or contact with chemicals after delivery
- Natural signs of aging, patina, vintage scent or age-related variations are considered part of the item's vintage character
- Damage caused by the customer attempting to repair or treat the item themselves
- Damage resulting from overfilling or improper storage
How do I make a complaint?
- Contact us as soon as possible after the defect is discovered and no later than 2 months after discovery
- Send an email to contact.thebrandsarchive@gmail.com with your order number, a description of the defect and photos documenting the issue
- Do not send the item back before you have received written approval from us
- We assess complaints individually and respond within a reasonable time, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays
Refunds
Once we have received and approved a return, we will process the refund within 14 days. The amount will be returned to the original payment method, minus return shipping where applicable.
Please note that your bank or card provider may take an additional 2-5 business days to make the amount visible in your account.
